Hi, I'm Jennifer.
Woman-centered coach for high-achieving women at a career crossroads.

I didn't just build a career. I built an identity.
I started my career in 1996 with an accounting degree, plenty of ambition, and no fixed roadmap. Public accounting wasn't the right fit, so I followed the opportunities that challenged me, from finance into corporate accounting and eventually into sales, where I found my passion.
Those opportunities took me around the world, including Australia, where I met my husband and where our son was born. We came home to St. Louis, welcomed our daughter, and eventually moved to Texas for the next chapter of my career. Over more than 12 years I led teams, served customers, and grew into an executive sales role at a Class 1 railroad, all while raising a family alongside a husband who never stopped believing in me.
Somewhere along the way I realized I had been building more than a career. I'd been building an identity. I wore it with pride, and I still do. But I started to wonder who I was beyond the title.
In 2026 I walked away from the career I'd spent nearly 30 years building. It surprised the people around me, and honestly, it surprised me too. It wasn't about running away from something. It was about making space to move toward something, even before I knew exactly what that would be.
Why I do this work
The part of my corporate job I loved most was mentoring the women on my teams: helping them shape their careers and figure out how to balance work and family. Her Ascent grew from that. I believe women face unique challenges building a career while raising a family and showing up for everyone else, and that outgrowing a goal doesn't mean you got it wrong. Sometimes your priorities change, and your definition of success changes with them.
